In June 2020, Alleo acquired an underutilized biomass conversion plant in Bay Minette, near Mobile, AL—a region abundant in wood resources. Permits were swiftly secured, enabling the technical team to conduct vital R&D on its proprietary wood-to-hydrocarbon system. This yielded a finalized design, strong intellectual property, and an elite on-site team. The first reactor launched in Q1 2023, achieving proof-of-product and nameplate production. The second reactor followed in Q1 2025, delivering green hydrogen at nameplate yields with multi-day continuous operations. Alleo's technology is now scale-ready, proving its commercial viability.
